DALB, Inc. experienced a data breach affecting 846 individuals, including 2 residents of Maine. The breach occurred on May 20, 2025, and was caused by an external hacking incident. Notification to affected consumers was carried out in writing on October 21, 2025. DALB, Inc. takes data privacy seriously and has taken steps to address the incident.

What Happened

On May 20, 2025, we detected suspicious activity within our network. We promptly initiated an investigation of the matter and engaged cybersecurity specialists to assist with the incident response. As a result, we determined that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization on May 20, 2025. We then worked with a third-party vendor to undertake a comprehensive review of affected data and, on or about October 16, 2025, learned that personal information was contained within the files. Please note, we have no evidence of the misuse, or attempted misuse, of any potentially impacted information.

The breach affected DALB, Inc.’s network, potentially exposing personal information of individuals, including names and social security numbers. The breach was detected on May 20, 2025.

Next Steps

Affected users are advised to remain vigilant by reviewing their account statements and credit reports closely. Any suspicious activity should be promptly reported to the respective financial institution or company. It is also recommended that individuals report any suspected identity theft to law enforcement, their state attorney general, and/or the Federal Trade Commission. Enrolling in the complimentary credit monitoring services offered by DALB, Inc. is also encouraged for additional protection.

Identity Theft Protection Services

DALB, Inc. is providing affected individuals with access to Single Bureau Credit Monitoring services at no charge for 12 months. These services include credit report monitoring and credit score updates. Additionally, proactive fraud assistance is offered to help answer any questions or address potential identity theft issues. The services are provided by Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in fraud assistance and remediation. Impacted individuals are encouraged to enroll in these services within 90 days of receiving the notification letter.
