About Hudson River Partners I L.P. dba The Thayer Hotel

Hudson River Partners I L.P., doing business as The Thayer Hotel, recently experienced a significant data breach. Located in West Point, NY, the hotel became a victim of an external system breach due to hacking. The incident has impacted a total of 33,053 individuals, including 86 residents of Maine. The breach occurred on September 19, 2025, and was discovered nearly a month later on October 17, 2025. The compromised information includes personal identifiers in combination with sensitive details.

What Happened

On September 19, 2025, we experienced unauthorized access to our computer systems. Upon discovery, we immediately took steps to (i) recover from the event, including restoring our own access to our systems, (ii) secure our systems against similar events, and (iii) notify law enforcement. This occupied the time of our entire IT staff for several days. Once access to our systems was restored, we launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party forensic specialists and cybersecurity professionals into the nature and scope of the activity. This included analyzing voluminous data to determine the scope of the event and to identify individuals whose personal information may have been impacted and the nature of any such impacted information. The investigation was complex and time-consuming. On or about October 17, 2025, we were able to preliminarily determine the names of individuals residing in the United States whose information was impacted and the location of those individuals. The investigation was completed for individuals residing in the United States on October 17, 2025.

The breach affected over 33,000 individuals, with unauthorized access to their personal information. The incident was discovered on October 17, 2025, impacting data such as names combined with driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, and other identifiers.

Next Steps

Affected individuals are advised to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud. It is recommended to place a one-year fraud alert on their credit file and consider a security freeze on their credit report to prevent unauthorized access. Individuals should also review their credit reports regularly to spot any suspicious activities. Additionally, individuals are encouraged to be cautious of unsolicited communications that may attempt to gather personal information.

Identity Theft Protection Services

To support affected individuals, Hudson River Partners has engaged Kroll Security to offer identity theft protection services at no cost for 12 months. These services include credit monitoring to help safeguard personal information against potential misuse. Impacted individuals are encouraged to enroll in these services through the dedicated website provided by the hotel. This proactive measure aims to provide peace of mind and additional security for those impacted by the breach.
