What Happened
On or around February 4, 2025, Kosmos discovered suspicious activity potentially related to an employee email account. Upon discovery, Kosmos immediately took steps to secure its email tenant and engaged third-party computer specialists to investigate the full nature and scope of the incident. Through the investigation, it was determined that a limited amount of data in two Kosmos email accounts may have been subject to unauthorized access. We then immediately began a thorough review of the potentially impacted data to identify what type of information was contained therein, and to whom that information belonged. As part of this review, on May 13, 2025, we learned that certain data associated with KDP Partners, which is kept in our possession during the normal course of business, may have been impacted. The comprehensive review process was completed on June 25, 2025, and we are now notifying potentially impacted individuals in an abundance of caution as we value the security of your information.
The breach specifically involved unauthorized access to two employee email accounts, potentially compromising data associated with KDP Partners. The breach was identified on February 4, 2025, and affected individuals were notified as a precautionary measure.
